The Hotel Reservations
Best company to use when making hotel reservations?
We can not enter the villa we rented a day before I have decided to stay in a hotel for one night (April 20, 2007). We chose the Best Western Lakeside, which is the best company to use to make the reservation? I need two rooms, but I have Priceline has a night of 73 means a standard room and another place just wanted a night of 50 for the same type of room. I do not know who to go with and not get ripped off. Thanks in advance!

It depends on who is the other company and if one of the most popular sites. Personally, I do not like dealing with sites like Priceline, Orbitz, etc are fine for only one book to book and with it, but if there is a problem or something needs to be changed, the customer service is horrible. There are a lot of problems that seem occur with these type sites, most of which are not resolved properly. First of all, contact the hotel directly or your travel agent and ask them what your best rate is. Ask about possible discounts that may be eligble for. If rates are close, then I will reserve that way, just to be on the safe side. Of Otherwise, I guess I would go with Priceline, mainly because I do not know what the other company. If it is one of the companies like Expedia, Orbitz, etc, then you must have the same success with either of them, so go with the best rate. Have a great time
